Frequently asked questions about Palam
Sources, data processing, account access and the limits of the product.
What does Palam do, and what does it not do?
It assists with case-law and legislation research, petitions and contracts. It does not replace a lawyer or guarantee legal accuracy, exhaustive coverage or a case outcome. You remain responsible for checking facts, deadlines, sources and the final text.
How do I check sources?
Compare citations against decision numbers and dates, then read the passage in context. Do not ignore missing-source or unmatched-quotation warnings. A matching quotation does not establish that the legal interpretation is correct.
Is my query sent to another service?
AI operations may send your query and necessary document excerpts to a model provider, including processing abroad. Consent is separate and optional at signup and can be managed in Settings. Remove unnecessary personal or sensitive data before submitting. See the privacy and data-protection notices.
What are the free plan limits?
Plan cards show current hourly and daily credit limits from the server. Operations share this allowance. Generating a draft costs 2 credits and reviewing a document costs 1. Regeneration consumes credits again; editing and downloading an existing draft do not.
Does choosing a plan charge me?
No. Registration is free. Your choice is carried to Plan & billing; a paid plan is not activated automatically. If online payment is unavailable, contact options are shown for activation. Prices exclude VAT.
Can I register without consent?
Yes. Cross-border processing consent is not required to create an account. Features that need cross-border model calls cannot be used without it. You can grant or withdraw consent later in Settings.
How do I recover a forgotten password?
Use Forgot password on the login screen. When email recovery is enabled, a single-use link is sent to the registered address. Otherwise, the recovery page provides a support contact for account access.
Can I file a generated document directly?
The output is a draft. Complete missing facts and check names, dates, claims, evidence and citations before exporting. Palam does not file cases or submit documents to UYAP on your behalf.
